Women's Ministry Leader
The heartbeat of Canyons Church and the anthem of Women’s Ministries can be summed up in one word: Love. We take to heart the words of Jesus, John 13:34-35,
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. “
The hope of Women’s Ministries is to be authentic in our relationships and to truly love one another as Christ has loved us. We are united together as sisters in Christ, encouraging one another through Bible Studies and fun activities, to keep pressing on through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
It is our joy to encourage each lady to use her gifts and talents to serve others as we walk out our faith in all kindness and unity. Our community of Women here at Canyons grow together in fellowship while studying the Bible. Various Bible studies are available throughout the year.
Many events are hosted for Women as well. “Girls Night Out” is a favorite when women of all ages come together and enjoy making new friendships.
Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child is an awesome event we participate in every November. Women’s ministry hosts a “Shoebox Packing Party” where we join in with our youth and pack Christmas boxes for children around the world. It is such a blessing to share Christ’s love with children through giving these gifts.
The annual “Ladies Tea “in December brings Women of all ages together. We have table hosts that set their tables with lovely tea settings of all different kinds. We have great food, fellowship and a guest speaker. Our ladies are served by our men from our congregation. There are many women who participate, and it is a really fun time to eat great food and meet new friends. You are always welcome.
